Rodeo - I am so peeved this wasn't on the broadcast. I LOVED this program.
I love Copeland. I want more. Didn't make notes - just soaked it in.
Tim Goebel
Night on Bald Mountain - I will prefer to remember him as an American in Paris.
Ryan Bradley
Saturday Night Fever - Awful muzak version of this music. Too hammy for me.
Energy seemed to come and go. Someone said he hurt his ankle in the SP - that
would explain this performance.
Scott Smith
Zorro - At least he used mostly the parts we do not hear. Did a good job on
the jumps.
Dennis Phan
National Treasure - OK. We have really reached the limit of soundtrack use
here. National Treasure??????? Oy. Diagonal footwork was the best part.
Derrick Delmore
Harlem to Madagascar (I recognize one of the pieces as Harlem Nocturne - so
I assume the rest is from the movie Madagascar). Lot of popping for him in
this one.
Tommy Steenberg
13th Warrior Soundtrack. Ieeeeeee. File this with the "National Treasure"
rant. Did a great job in this program. Doesn't have a 3 axel yet, but he got
all the other triples done.
Shaun Rogers
Symphonic Dances (Rach) - Popped attempt at 4 toe. did a nice walley - reverse
walley into his lutz, which he unfortunately popped. Split jump landed rough.
Nicholas LaRoche
Fiesta Flamenco - Was slowing down at the end.
Johnny Weir
Tonci Huljic/Maksim Mrvica -
Michael Villarreal
Besame Mucho - Got a lot of jumps done, but he does telegraph the jumps a
bit more than others in this field.Slow footwork.
Evan Lysacek
Carmen - I was a wreck during this and made no notes. Then he was in 2nd and
I was weeping. I did not manage to make any more notes after that. I just
sat there in a daze.
Jordan Wilson
Phantom - Lot of jumps. Fell on 4 toe attempt.
Rohene Ward
Primavera Portena/Oblivion/Tango Ballet - So sorry bout this one. Disasterous
free skate for him.
Parker Pennington
Incantations - Great program - I enjoy his skating so much more this year
- there is a big improvement in his presentation and relating to the audience.
Michael Weiss
Beethoven in a blender (5th/9th/Moonlight).
Matt Savoie
Journey of Man/The Mission.Once Upon a Time in America. I love Matt's skating
and am so happy he made it to the Olympics. If you had told me back when he
was skating to Deliverance and didn't know his arms were attached to him that
he would wind up this good I never would have believed you.
