I can't get to the USFSA web site this morning & I don't have the results for the short program yet. This is a lovely lot of JR. ladies. Almost eveyone had very interesting and complete programs with a lot of really excellent spins and spirals. A nice variety of styles and musical choices. Much more so than I usually find Sr. Ladies to have in it. (Carmen Carmen Maleguena Swan Lake Zorro). A very well rounded crop of skaters. I would like to credit everyone involved for making this an enjoyable competition to sit through!!!

Well, anyone who reads my web site with any regularity knows I LOVE Felicia. She had a great skate. Full of energy and loaded with style and personality. But that has just become soooo par for the course for her :)). She landed the full set of jumps: 3 Lutz-2 toe(I know. I know. The lutz entrance edge is unconventional. I was not in a position to be able to tell which edge was the one that was in place as she left the ice. But until someone ELSE is landing a 3 flip in their combo, that still puts her in second here). The landing on the lutz was very low and she may have touched a hand down. 2 axel. 2 loop.
Free Skate:
Landed her 3 lutz-2 toe combo, but fell on her solo 3 lutz. Fell on 3 sal. Landed 2 axel, but was a bit swingy. 3 flip was fine. This program is also jammed full of interesting moves and choreography. Extremely well presented and, as always, enjoyable.
SP:
2 axel. Stepped out of 3 loop. 3 toe-2 toe - little swinggy. Her spins were supurb. Nice split jump to start the footwork.
Free:
Popped the 2 axel.. 2 flip? Fell on loop. Popped sal. 3 toe. I have a note that says she skidded the landing of a 2 axel and was swinging and was at theboards. She did a great Bielman to a reverse camel to a Back spin. All her spins were great.
SP:
2 Axel. fell on 3 lutz. 3 or 2 loop. Nice spins.
FS:
Very fast skater. Waxel. 3 lutz. Fell on loop. 2.75 sal. 2.5 toe with a step out. 3 sal-2 toe. 2 Axel.
SP:
2 axel. 2? loop. 3 toe-2 toe. Great spins. Great smile and presentation throughout.
FS:
2 axel. Popped lutz. Fell on flip. 3 ? loop. 2 footed? 3 sal. 3 toe-2 toe. 2? flip

2 axel. 3 lutz-2 toe. 3 loop.I think she had more pushs before the last bit of her spiral sequences than one usually sees. And her spins aren't as breathtaking as many of the others here. But her jumps are definitely ahead of the pack. As far as I can tell the lutz is a true real lutz.
FS:
2 footed 2 axel. 3 lutz-2 toe. 3 flip. 3 loop. 3 sal. 3 toe-2 toe. She skated first of the final flight and I was certain she was unbeatable. The jumps were all solid as can be. Fine technical skater.

SP:
Fell on 2 axel Fell on 3 flip. 2.75 loop. Nice spins, especially the layback position. Excellent spiral extension. Skates with her head stretched forward - reminisant of Sarah. Also has those looong arms and legs.
FS:
Very nice split jumps. Sloooow entry to a fall on the 2 axel. 2 footed 3 lutz-2 toe. 3 flip landed waaayyy up on the toe-hopped a bit. 2 footed 3 sal. Fell on flip. single axel. Nice spins & a good spiral and ina Bauer.
SP:
Fell on 2 axel. 2 loop. 3 toe-2 toe
FS:
2 axel. 2 toe. Fell on loop and axel and 3 toe attempt. I have question marks by the flip, not sure what happened there.
SP:
2 axel. 3 loop. 3 toe-2 toe. Travelled on layback. Sit spin wasn't real low & was slow. Beautiful program to Secret Garden. Very smooth and pretty.
FS:
2 lutz. 3 loop. 2 toe-2 toe. 3 sal-2 toe. 2 axel-2 toe. Fell on flip. Nice camel-sit combo. Spiral was pretty, but too short.
SP:
2 axel. 3 loop. fell on 3 toe. Good spins. Nice stylish program to Pink Panther.
FS:
2 axel-2 toe. fell on lutz. 3 flip. hand down on 2 axel. 2 flip. popped loop and sal. 3 toe (2 footed)-2 toe. Nice Ina Bauer.
SP:
2 axel. 2 loop. 3 sal-2 toe. There may have been too much business between the segments of her spiral sequence. But it was part of what made the unusual program (To American Beauty) very enjoyable to watch. She kept up the mood and tension throughout.
FS:
Very unique choreography again. I really enjoyed both of her programs very much. I like the form of her jump entries - she really squares everything off nicely & doesn't swing or rush the take off. I suppose if I wanted to nit-pick she could use a little more speed on them. Her coaches are Allen Schramm & Tracy Sheppard & Allen is credited as choreographer as well. I must say that, other than Felicia Beck (who I came in as a big fan of) she was the most interesting part of the Jr. ladies for me. My notes aren't great here cuz I was so focused on the program - I have check marks by a flip-toe combo. 2 axel was landed twice. stepped out of a 2 lutz. 2 loop. stepped out of 3 sal. fell on 3 sal.
SP:
2 axel. 2 loop. fell on 3 toe. Layback was not a real textbook position. Pretty native american themed program.
FS:
She had an impressive amount of barrettes in her hair. I suspect she may also be a gymnist. 1 axel. 2 axel. 2 flip. 2 loop. 3 sal-2 toe. 3 sal. 2 toe. 2 footed 3 toe. I watched for her layback this time - her back is excellent, but the leg is not.
