Notes From 2007 Nationals - Spokane, Washington

For the short, many are apalled that Naomi and Themi were not in first. The scores are so close they are essentially tied, but everyone was so angry no one stopped to look at that, they saw "2nd" and the booing began. Due to the draw everything after the first flight seemed anti-climactic.

For the free skate there was no question that Castile ans Okolski were the run away winners. I do not remember when I have seen a US pair team so completely solid and secure on every single element. It was a joy to watch them have that "ideal" moment. By comparison everyone else really looked like they were participating in a different level of event.
