Notes From 2007 Nationals - Spokane, Washington
They taped off stairways to access the upper levels of the bleachers. That is
good. But now we are trying to fit the same number of people into less space.
Not so good. So they are the "bleachers of doom" in the "convention
center of death" in Ann-speak. The Arena has a grilled chicken sandwich with
the smallest piece of chicken and largest bun I have ever seen. But it has lettuce
and a tomatoe and so passes as more like food than much of the fare. The restaurants
here are GREAT. Just yummy and everyone bending over backweards to get you whatever
you want. It is almost like the town is actually happy we are here. Places have
added extra staff and they have specials for people who are here with the skating.
It is very nice. Still snowy and icy at night , but no more tumbles.
