OK. We are here. As you can see from my photos of the area, there is a bunch of snow/slush on the ground. Daniel and I walked through the park yesterday and he fell and pulled me down with him!! Oops. No permanent damage done. We were like a bad pair team accident! The Novice events at the convention center have temporary bleachers with no backs on them. Ow. Not many stairwells either; and the dropoff below them is very open -lots of people are losing things down the openings. I am so glad some of the Novice events are in the main arena. -There is a nice big screen that displays info on the skaters and the scores. The events were packed, until Novice Men's SP, because it was opposite the Jr. Ladies SP at the main arena, the convention center emptied out then. The walkway that was advertised as linking the Doubletree and the Convention center is not for regular people, not even parents. Just skaters. The Red Lion zt the Park is very nice. They even took us to the grocery store and waited there for us on our first night so we could fill our fridge with stuff. The searches for food/water are still hapening at each venue, but they still don't examine pockets or clothes......
