Another all day Novice session. Pretty good stuff overall. I am too demanding on the artistic side given the amount of technical content the kids have to put out, but that's my perogitive I suppose. The whole HealthSouth gang is here now except Danielle Kahle's family, who arrive Wednesday AM. So I am taking the day off from spectating competition to watch her practice. So this is my first day at Philips, and I have already heard that they ARE searching purses, so I have removed the contraband protein bars from my bag. The restaurant in the hotel was not open for dinner last night. The manager says it will be "later this week". Sigh - I am too resigned to dopey stuff like this to even bother fussing about it any more. So I got a salad from room service. Then I went back to the bar where I was informed that the bar here can not make a Mojito. Now that set me off. Damn backwater town. Grumble complain. I managed to find something to drink, and visited with some folks til Danielle arrived. Got her fed and lights out. Now I am typing in the dark to let her sleep. Then on to credentialling and hospitality for her breakfast and off to practices. The local paper had a story about Karen Kwan and Peter Oppegard's wedding and announced that they are expecting, so if anyone still didn't know about that it is as public as can be now. That's about all I have for now. Maybe after practices today we will come up with some more news.
