Short - 3 lutz-2 toe. 3 flip. 2 axel (wide).
Free - 3 lutz-2 toe. 3 toe - 2 toe. fell on 3 flip. hand down on 3 loop. 2
footed a 3 lutz. 2.5 sal.
Short - Jennifer Don had a lovely program and a clean skate, but with less technical difficulty than the top of the pack. 3toe-2toe. 3 sal. 2 axel.
Free -3 toe - 2 toe. 3 sal. 2 lutz. 2? flip. fell on 3 toe. 2 axel. Lovely
program.
Short - really disliked the costume here - black tights and black dress with a lot of something going on on the skirt. Really admire Patricia for coming out, but gotta say the costume wasn't for me. 2 axel. 2 lutz. she did a triple-double combo that looked a tad short of rotation and she stepped out of it - but a very credible attempt.
Free - Step out of 3 flip. and 3 sal. and 3 toe - 2toe. 2 lutz - 2 toe (step
out) 3 toe - 2 toe.
Short - 2 axel. 3 lutz -2 toe axel. 3 flip (fall)
Free - Nice Dress. 2 axel. 3 loop. flip (not sure of it was 2 or 3 ) 2 lutz.
2 axel. 2 toe. 2.5 sal. fell on 3 lutz.
Short - fell on 3 sal. landed very forward on a 2 axel. swung out of landing of 3 lutz. Amazing spins and spirals. awesome extension and speed.
Free - 1 axel. 2 sal -2 toe. 2.5 lutz. shaking in spiral. fell on loop. 2 footed
a 3 toe. popped sal. 1 axel. 2 toe.
Short - fell on 3 lutz and 3 flip. got 2 axel landed. She was Very tilted on the jumps she fell on. Camel position has a flat back - no arch at all.
Free - 3 lutz-3 toe (both slightly chaeted). 3 toe-2toe (step out) 3 flip (swing
out) fell on 3 sal. 3 loop. 3 flip (2 footed - fell).
Short - 3 flip - 2 toe. 3 toe. 2 axel.
Free - 3 flip -2toe. 2 sal. 3 sal (step out) 2 axel - 2 toe. 2.5 toe( fall).
fell on flip.
Short - 2 axel. 3 lutz (fall) - 2 toe. 3 toe? flip?
2 axel. 3 lutz (2 foot - hand down) 2 sal. popped toe. 2 loop. 2 flip. 3 toe
(2 footed) poped another jump - toe or flip.
Short - Bebe stepped out of her 3 flip.3 lutz - 2 toe. 2 axel. Footwork seemed like she got up on her toe (not intentionally) - just seemed odd.
Free - 2 axel. 3 Lutz-3 loop. 3 flip (fell) 3 loop. 3 sal. 3 lutz. 3 toe. Partial
standing ovation. Hey - was this combo clean - anyone know?
Short - Popped the Lutz. fell on the 3 flip. hand down on the 2 axel. Kailee seemed like she really backed off rfom the opening pose. Looked like fear got her big time.
Free - Fell on 3 lutz. 3 toe. stepped out of 3 flip. 3 loop. popped lutz. stepped
out of 2 axel. fell on 3 toe. 2 axel - step out - 2 toe - step out.
Short - Stepped out of the 3 loop and put her hand down. 2 axel. 3 toe. Had some trouble in the footwork and the camel re-set after the 3. Kim Ryan had the best dress of the night. Blue with teal swirly crystal pattern. Love to know who does her costumes.... That's something we need added to the program :)). Her spins and spiral sequence were extremely beautiful as well. Note: I have been contacted by the lady who makes Kim's costumes - Her name is Linda Graff. and she has a sewing studio in Spokane Wa. She has been creating costumes for skaters for about 12 years.
Free - 3 loop. popped flip and axel. fell on 3 toe. and loop. 2 lutz. 3 flip.
I loved this program. All the non-jump elements were just as beautiful as can
be. (Red Violin). Noreen Clohessey and Meegan McDonald are listed as Choreographers.
Short - 3 flip. 2 flutz (hand down - step out) 2 toe (swing out). 2 axel. Flying camel was rough.
Free - 3 lutz (step out) - 2 toe. 3 sal. fell on 3 flip. 3 loop. 3 toe ? stepped
out of 2 flip. stepped out of 3 sal - 2 toe. 2 axel.
Short - Sasha looked a a little "held back" and had some untidy landings. I was taking photos - didn't list elements , but they are on TV.
Free - No notes on final flight - but Sasha was not skating "full out"
in this program either.
Sarah's new program was not really my cup of tea. Heavy Heavy piano (probably Rach) with a lot of sort of reaching arms and ...a generally heavy feel. And her landings were .... sort of Mr. Toad's wild ride. I would have had her lower, but I know she gets Oly Gold bonus points. I saw nothing spectacular about what she put out there compared to the rest of these ladies. Even her basic skating seems to have deteriorated from last season. 2 axel. 3 lutz (swing) 2 toe. 3 flip was low with a swing through of the free leg after landing.
I was underwhelmed by her free also. She seemed a tad faster than in the short,
but still nothing to really write home about. Looked sort of upper middle to
lower top of the pack here.
Short - 3 lutz-2 toe (little iffy) fell on the 2 axel. 3 flip. I thought AP's placement was a couple of places too high at the time she skated.
Free - No notes onthe final flight. She is a lovely skater. Very noce flow
and edges and speed. and so on.
Short - Jenny skated clean and strong and so on... I was still a little torqued about the jobbing they gave Amber, but it was a very good skate for Jenny. And of course Jenny then got robbed by Sarah getting the Oly bonus points.. so I guess they are passing it around. 3 lutz-2 toe. 3 flip. 2 axel.
Free - No notes on the final flight.
Short - As usual Amber was sacraficed. What is with that? Amber did the 3 toe-3 toe and it sure looked clean to me. And she did the lutz as her solo jump. Someone help me out here. What the heck was the deal with her technical scores being sooooo much lower???? Note: Ok - the 3-3 combo may be a tad cheated. But AP Fell. That is - FELL in the short program - on the 2 axel. Oy.
Free - # toe - 3 Toe (2 footed) 3 lutz- 2 toe. #sal - 2 loop (2 foot - step
out). 3 flip (2 footed) 3 lutz (2 footed)
Short - Andrea Gardner fell on her ...flip? and then I think she missed the spin that was suposed to be right after it. Did her 2 axel. put a hand down on the 3 lutz - 2 toe. Wow - Kitty Carruthers is teeeeennnnyyyyy.
Free - 2 sal. 2 axel. 3 lutz (2 footed with a swing) 3 flip. 3 toe. 2 sal.
3 lutz. 3 toe (hand down)-2 toe. 2 loop.
Short - Michelle was very on. I am not a big Arabian style program/music fan, but of course she did it better than anyone else ever has or will. Great fast footwork. Passion. Flow. An compelling amazing thing. I am glad I lived through the events at the other arena to see it :)).3 lutz-2 toe. 2 axel. 3 flip.
Free - no notes on final flight. A complety otherworldly - hair on the back
of your neck raising -skate. Dick and Peggy are high to not have explained this
clearly. I knew as soon as she was done there was no way anyone could touch
her. It was one of those golden moments. And she had two of those programs at
the same Nationals. I am sure I will never see anything close to it again. I
am usually sort of lukewarm on Michelle. She has some lovely parts to her skating,
and I admire her tremendously - but she usually doesn't get "to me"
at all. This was something quite special. Someone said that the mark of good
skating is that they make it look easy. My comment on these two skates by Michelle
are that she went beyond that. She made it seem like the next step in our evolution.
Like we will soon all be moving this way - this is how we were designed to locomote.
Just amazing. No - Sarah did not deserve a National title compared to this.
None of the other ladies are even participating in the same sport.
Short - I am just so sad for Angela. I think I held my breath for her whole program. Arghh. How frustrating for her. Her free program is soo beautiful this year. I hope ABC broadcasts it even through she is not top 6. And I hope she has a skate she can feel good about . Stepped out of 3 lutz - 2 toe. 2 footed the 3 flip. single axel.
Ok - well never mind all that I guess. I hope Angela's shoulder gets fixed and she feels better in every possible way.
OH MY. I am sooo happy for Yebin. I am a babbling idiot. She did it. A clean short. She does 3 loop, not flip, as the solo jump (for those who don't have her programs memorized). And she got the ONLY standing ovation of the night besides Michelle's. Yippeee. Yippeee. 3 lutz-2 toe. 3 loop. 2 axel. Put a fork in me - I am done!!!!!
Free - No notes on final flight - Her program is to Spartacus and she skated well - missed two elements as I recall. But she seemed a little held back. It was a great competition for Yebin and I am just thrilled to see her in the final flight and to do so well over all.
