Overall impressions: This field has some serious problems. There is clearly
a lot of amazing talent here. But
.
Short
- Stieglers - She fell on side by side 3 toes. The throw jump is huge - I
thought it was a triple sal, but someone else called it a loop. Their line
and emotion is lovely as always.
- Rogeness - Artur Dimitriev is coaching this team. The short was "March
of the Wooden Soldier". These roles worked very well for them. Side by
side 2 toes. Throw 3 sal.
- Ganabas - They appear to be with John Nicks now. He put his hand down on
the side by side toes - she fell. The throw looked like a double (sal) to
me, but the crowd response would indicate I was smokin'. The footwork was
great, as was the combo spin.
- Don & Guzman - This pair is really nice to watch, but I liked all of
the pairs Mr. Guzman has been part of - always aggressive. She fell on the
throw loop. Side by side 3toes were ok, but he fell on the flying camel. The
final pair spin lost it as well.
Long
- Don & Guzman - Tango - Side by side jumps: 2 axel (he fell)- 2 toe.
3 toe (he put his hand down). Throw jumps: 2? loop (landed up on toe). 2 sal.
Amazing lift with a change of direction & position. Another one with a
"Walk-over" dismount.
- Rogeness - Dressing in black leatherette with red splotches of material
and lots of slashes of exposed flesh. The "music" was the sound
of drums and sledgehammers (someone informed me that is was from "The
Matrix"). Suffice it to say I like the wooden soldier look much better.
Side by side jumps 2 axel-2toe. 3 toe. Throw jumps: loop (hand down) 3 sal
(2 footed). Side by side spins were off.
- Ganabas - I describe music as "Spunky Peasant to Peasant Lovers".
Huge 2 twist. 2 very nice lifts. Side by side jumps: 2 axel-2toe. 3 toe (He
hand down - she 2 footed. He may have lost a revolution). Throw jumps: 2 loop,
3 sal (2 footed). She fell in a spiral as well.
- Stieglers - "Romeo & Juliet" (I love my Brother). Side by
side jumps: 2 axel (He singled) 3 toe. 2 sal (he hand down) into her doing
a toe. Twist was fine. In-betweens were stellar.
